That is, the parts of a system are functionally interrelated and the system functions as a coherent whole, not as individual parts.

When anger is uncontrolled, excessive, and chronic, it can be a symptom of person-environment misfit. Assessing person-environment fit goes beyond understanding specified roles in different settings, it also includes an in depth analysis of the interpersonal dynamics of role transactions and the effects of changes in the culture of a given setting on specific roles. Individuals frequently express their degree of satisfaction with their “role fit” in different settings through their emotions, especially anger.

Consideration needs to be given to the identification of resources available within and outside the system that will help to solve the problem.
